Application Information Pack – 2018
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Rules and Conditions for the tour to N.S.W.
The aim of these tours is to give selected young people a chance to broaden their education by visiting places of interest in N.S.W. and of fostering good relationship with youth of their own age group in N.S.W. and to have fun.
These rules are basic courtesy and for your safety. If you get selected as an Ambassador, it is expected that your behaviour will be of the highest possible standard. To inform you of the standard required, here are a few simple rules that will have to be followed.
- No unacceptable language.
- No drinking of any alcoholic beverages.
- No smoking.
- The use of mobile phones will be at the discretion of Management.
- Your manners are to be above reproach in your dealings with the Management team, your fellow tourists and your hosts, regardless of their ages.
- Our hosts will have gone to a lot of trouble to arrange our itinerary. This must be appreciated, respected and enjoyed.
Dress
Uniforms will be provided and are to be worn as directed. Casual clothes are to be clean and tidy with no rips or patches etc. No facial or oral piercing will be permitted.
Accommodation
You will be billeted by your host families and you are required to stay with them or in a group at all times.
At NO time will you be allowed to go to stay with relatives or friends in the area.
Evenings are to be spent with your billet unless other activities are arranged.
General
The tour party will travel as a group at all times unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Relatives may on occasions be permitted to attend concerts at the RSL’s, subject to their being eligible to enter an RSL.
The tour party will abide by Management team decisions at all times.
Medical
Declare any medical problems that you may have (do not think that by declaring them, you may ruin your chances of getting on this tour, this is decided by the extent of the medical problem). Your medication will be controlled by the Management team.
Money
A daily allowance of A$10 is allocated to each young person. You may take a further A$400 of personal money. This money will be held by Management and will be distributed on request.
REMEMBER that your age must be between 15 – 17 years (inclusive) and you must be attending an educational facility.
If you are to come home prior to the end of the tour, for whatever reason, this becomes the responsibility of the parent / Guardian to cover the cost of the travel arrangements.
Good luck with your application!

Involves giving them breakfast, some evening meals and a bed for each night (a mattress on the floor or stretcher is fine).
Dropping and collecting from a designated RSA – or carpooling can be organised
Possibly a free day when you will need to entertain them.
Ideally you would have 2 to 3 billets to stay with you.
Please contact your RSA rep
